VENUE & DATE :: Sat 5.00pm & Sun 9.00am at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium

LAST TIME :: Sirens def Goannas 7-4

WHAT’S WHAT :: Both teams are finding the going tough this season and are still looking for the combinations which will take them to the finals. The Sirens and the Goanna’s have suffered in their away games by not having the full complement of players but isn’t this sometimes the case in the AWIHL.

WHO’S HOT :: The North Stars Sirens have a solid scoring team in Sharna Godfrey, Kaylee White and Amelia Mathseon but the goals can’t be scored without good puck delivery up the ice. Amanda Webber and Anna Ruut have stepped up a gear this season and can be dangerous if the Goannas give them room. The engine room for the Sirens is no doubt Sera Dogramaci but she needs better protection from the defence as she is facing way too many pucks.

The Brisbane Goannas have shown brilliance at times but need more consistency. The ability to score across the roster is a big benefit for the ladies from Brisbane and Michelle Clark-Crumpton has been a stand out up front but when you have a defensive player like Melanie Brogan it shows that the Goannas can get the puck up the ice.

WE THINK :: The Sirens need to come out and score quick on the Goanna’s especially the Sunday morning game which has been the dangerous game for the Sirens. The Sirens should account for a travelling Brisbane side but this will be a close one as the form of the Goannas is improving with each game.
