Mike Ekstrom pens deal with Heat

In what has become one of the major acquisitions in the off-season, the Perth Heat has obtained the services of Mike Ekstrom, a former major league pitcher, through December 2013. It’s an important signing for the Heat, which will significantly upgrade a pitching group that ranked third in ERA, wins and losses in 2012. Chris Ninkov has more.
